Review: Barry M Lip Paint in Green

My mystery lipstick arrived today! I wasn't expecting it for a few days, so it was a nice surprise this morning. Turns out that I had indeed ordered green. I will DEFINITELY be ordering the blue too (and probably a tonne of other colours because I love it.)

So, first things first,

Packaging:

Chomples models the packaging
Barry M Lip Paint in Green

Though it's plain I actually really like it. The lipstick looks upmarket and sleek. The case slides open and shut really nicely and I really can't fault the design.

Colour:

When I first saw it I was slightly disappointed, I thought it looked very matte and I was hoping that there would be a bit more depth to the colour.

Lip Paint in Green

Lip Paint on.

It shows up much more vividly on the lips. Hurrah.

Application:

This is some of the nicest lipstick I've used. It goes on evenly, doesn't dry your lips and is creamy enough to smudge around but solid enough to stay put! After a few hours the worst I can say for colour slippage is that it does transfer, but this didn't change the lip colour much, so maybe I was just too generous.

Overall:

Very nice lipstick! Retails at £4.49 and is available directly from the website http://www.barrym.com/products/lips/paint/lip-paint.html as well as from Boots, Superdrug etc. Boots and Superdrug have a limited amount of shades though and do not stock Green or Robot Blue. I found mine on eBay from Blue Banana.

Have you tried any of the other colours? What did you think?
