Shakespearean wanderings and a bit of Old Smoke.

This July I'm working as an activity leader at a Summer camp. It's a fairly strange job - I've moved my life down to Nottingham for the next month and am back to living in student halls - but despite my earlier worries it's actually pretty fun and I at least have a nice(ish) view from my window!

Today is my first shift off (in a week!) so I'm pretty tired, but staff are allowed to use the facilities for free so I'm off to the swimming pool soon.

This weekend has been a pretty big one for me. I have been to London and Stratford for the first time in 4 years and the second time ever. I've been wanting to go back to both for a while, but I didn't really imagine it would be with 62 children in tow! Saturday in Stratford was an extremely soggy one, so it was difficult to keep all of the kids interested. London was the opposite with people flying off in different directions  constantly. Keeping them all corralled as we wandered around was nothing compared to keeping them in their seatbelts on the bus though.

I didn't manage to get many pictures in London, but I did get one of the Globe from the river, which was mostly all I wanted to do. (I loved walking by it when I was last there but couldn't get back for enough to get all of it in a picture.) As you can see, it was a pretty miserable day with lots of rainy showers. Luckily it didn't start lashing it down heavily until we were heading back to the bus.
