Yesterday was my first day off in quite a while which I celebrated by attending a plus size clothes swap in Leeds organised by members of the Yorkshire Rad Fat Collective (https://www.facebook.com/groups/255778594515036/) I've never been to an event like this before and I was slightly worried that I was going to be an outsider as I had never attended before and am not really known on the blogosphere. This was blown out of the water as soon as everyone arrived. People were extremely friendly and happy to chat.
I came away with quite a bit, but my favourite item was the shorts I found. I haven't actually worn them in 7 years because I really struggle with my body image and my legs are the worst area for me. However, I saw these and loved them. Here's me being brave!
Top, Shorts, Leggings - Fat Clothes Swap Shirt - Jumble Sale (£2 for a bin bag, take whatever you can fit in it.) Belt - £1 New Look |
Heart shoes Card print neckerchief Maybelline Nail Polish |
It was also nice to have a bit of a wander around Leeds, and we managed to find a lovely cafe with seats by the river (and a cup of tea for £1!)
Monkey Jim came too. |
